Julia and I answer an email from a listener who asks about long term relationships, marriage and kids. Admittedly, neither Julia nor I are even close to that point in our lives, but we do discuss some of the things that are important to carry into a relationship over time. People with cystic fibrosis are living longer and many patients are now at the point in their lives where they are having kids and starting families. In many ways, it is an opportunity afforded to us by the miracle of modern medicine. With that being said, there are some difficult realities that people with CF need to face and discuss with their significant others when going into family planning.
